ROBIN GROSS' CREDENTIALS

Experience

In 2003 Robin Gross made a divergent move into 'the world of art' from the corporate business world after practicing in her field, Organizational Development, for more than 25 years. For five years she devoted full-time attention to FaFa Gallery. FaFa Gallery specialized in hand-selected authentic Chinese furniture ranging from 150 - 400 years in age which held the intention to deepen appreciation for Asian beauty. From conception to day-to-day execution, Robin oversaw every aspect of this highly specialized, self-financed, relationship dependent, solo enterprise.

Upon closing FaFa Gallery, she resolved to integrate art and business at which time she turned her attention to professional fine art appraisal. Robin holds the American Society of Appraiser's “Accredited Member” status with a Fine Art specialty (paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture). She has completed Northwestern University's certificate in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Art. Robin has tested and passed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices course. She has the good fortune of being under Dr. Burton Dunbar's tutelage. Robin has a Master's of Business Administration (MBA).

Assignments have included Clients who are artists, religious institutions, corporate and private collectors, and heirs of property. No two assignments are the same. She has worked with 18th-20th century American and European paintings, prints, drawings, and sculptures; Asian artifacts; religious, WPA historical, and artist owned works; and large collections as well as single important works.

Accessing scholarship, experience, and insight from both worlds of business and art, Robin's time is now devoted to professional art appraisal. In addition to a love of fine art and strict adherence to the American Society of Appraiser's Code of Ethics, Robin brings strong client relationship and business skills to her professional art appraisal practice.
